My husband is part french, part german, part caucasian and part american-indian. His dad still speaks fluent french and every now and then he would teach me a word or two. Words like abri de piscine, fauteuil baroque, and domiciliation. I don't remember now what those words meant but I like it when he talks french.
I hope my kids will learn some of the language. Andrea is better than me because she knows a little bit. They teach it at her school and she's picking up some of the words. We all know that knowing how to speak more than one language is better than just one. So I will do my best to make my kids multi-lingual so they would have an edge over others.
