Sexy Halloween Costumes

Halloween is coming up again! It is one of my favorite celebrations because I get to see different costumes in the street and in parties as well. I also love to dress up my girls, so that's like play time for me as well. Playing dress up to my real-life dolls. Last year I didn't try to wear a costume because I just gave birth to my youngest daughter. But this year, I am thinking of getting a little halloween spirit within me by getting into a nice sexy costume.

There are a lot of online sites that offers all kinds of halloween costumes. I have been browsing for the perfect sexy cop costume and I found the costume on top to be so hot, maybe I would purchase it to wear for my husband... I also found a lot of sexy Halloween costumes in the same site. Maybe I would order me one more sexy pirate costume just for the fun of having one.

As early as now, I am already in the works of looking for the perfect costume for my girls for halloween, I am also thinking of concepts like matching costumes for the three of us so we would really look like mother-daughters tandem. Whatever it is I choose though, I would need my husband's approval. Ofcourse I won't walk around in a costume that my husband thinks is inappropriate for people to see.

Moving Near the Base

My husband works at the Air Force Base and he has been travelling back and forth from our house to the base for years now. He got a gas-saving car that way he would not spend too much money for gas, but recently, gas prices soared really high that we are thinking of just moving near the base to save money. We could also ask for him to be transferred to another base, if we want.

I have been contemplating about that plan and I have looked at  homes near dover air force base to see what we would be expected. I am surprised that their are a lot of nice and cheap homes that are just a couple of miles aways from the base gate. In my calculations, we would save a good sum of money if we just pursue in our plan of moving near where my husband works.

Perhaps in due time, we would be able to make up our minds. For right now, we are glad that even if the gas prices are high and the rest of the commodities are high, my husband still has a job.

Beautiful Homes at Eastern Shore

I have the chance to talk to my friend again after years on not seeing each other. Thanks to a networking site, we are able to catch up and continue the friendship where we left of. She was actually my college room mate and I am surprised to learn that like me, she also lives here in the US now. We talked for almost four hours, just talking about what we were doing after college. We also talked about our kids and our husbands.

She lives in the Eastern shore and she works as a real estate agent there. She said that eastern shore real estate is also affected by the slow market but it is still surviving, unlike the other areas in the country. She also said the despite the low housing market, she still manages to keep her job and that a lot of people there still keeps their houses. Infact, there are a lot of eastern shore new homes that's being built right now. She showed me pictures of the homes and true enough, I am impressed! Makes me want to move there.

For right now, I am just glad that I get to talk to my friend again and continue the friendship we have left behind. Perhaps someday, I would get to visit her and her family, and I would see for myself the beautiful homes my friend is trying to sell.

Ways to Save Money

We were horrified when we got our water bill last month that me and hubby decided to take actions and do something about it. We knew that the culprit for our big water bill was our messed-up toilet. It really needs to be replaced so it would save us money in the long run. We also need to teach our kids how to save water, by doing simple stuff like turning off the faucet while they are brushing their teeth.

My husband has done a lot of DIYprojects at home. He has been very good at it, so when he said that he would replace our toilet with a dual flush toilet, I didn't object. Our toilet is old-school and it really needs to be replaced, it is using to much water to make it flush. We have been talking about it for a while but this is the only time that we actually did something about it. He went to the hardware store, got the wax ring and the other stuff that he needs and he had our new dual flush toilet ready to use right away.

Now my girls are all excited to go use the restroom and press a different button everytime. I am more excited to see the savings on our next water bill.

A Snack To Watch Hockey

Due to the length of the National Hockey League season, it is important to have a snack for every night of the season. The season typically begins in September with teams playing pre-season games to finalize their roster before the season starts. Once the season begins, teams who make the playoffs could potentially play until the middle of April. Because of the length of the season, a good snack to have for hockey watching is important. For me, I love to buy a pack of flour tortillas and stuff them with any number of meats, cheeses, or other items.

Typically the season opens with a handful of games that are set against rivals. Usually the team that won the Stanley Cup in the previous year will play on the first day, as well as any other teams that are part of an on going rivalry. Recently the NHL has added the Premiere Games to the beginning of the season. This involves a handful of teams playing their opening games in Europe, after they have played their pre-season game against other European hockey teams.

At the beginning of the season is when I start stocking up on my wraps. When the season starts and the weather is warm I like to put peanut butter and jelly in my wraps, as it is perfect for the weather. Once the snow falls, wraps are always stuffed with meats and cheeses and heated up in the microwave. As a mom of two, I have learned that natural ingredients are better in treating simple health problems. Vacation Must Haves

After going to several trips with my family, I have come up with lists of things that one should have when going on a vacation. I am a little apprehensive about that rule when it comes to my toddler's needs, so even if I have to sacrifice some of my stuff, I would just to make sure that my little one would have everything she needs and more, just in case we can't buy the stuff that she needs at our destination.

Anyhow, here are some of the vacation must haves in my list;

The rest of the stuff like toothebrush, soap, deodorants and in my case, the diapers could be bought at the destination. I just bring enough to last for the entire duration of the trip and the rest I buy when we get there. Ohh and don't forget to bring lots of smiles and bring back plenty of pictures and videos!

Luggage Talk

Travelling has been one of my family's favorite things to do. In a year, we probably would go to a different state twice or three times on average. We love to drive most of the time but sometimes, when the place we're going to is really far, then we would opt to fly than waste our money on gas. It has become a family tradition to go on trips and my girls are used to it. As young as five months, they have been travelling with us.

One thing that's really hard about travel is packing and unpacking. It is fun to go there but the days spent to pack and making sure everything is inside the Luggage is torture for me because I have to pack for four people. With all the travelling we did, I need new bags. I have been looking online and so far I like the Hartmann Luggage. I haven't seen one in person, so I can't make up my mind yet. I also like the design of the Tumi Luggage. But my husband said jokingly that we're not going to a fashion show. I also heard that the Delsey Luggage is tough, I am also checking that out.

I would appreciate it if you could give me an advice on what luggage is good based on your experience dear readers. We are going on a major trip soon and I really need a good set of luggage to bring our stuff there.

I have heard a lot of good stuff about Myrtle beach and it intrigued me on what is it in that place that makes everybody I know who have been there go crazy about. What better way of knowing than going there yourself right? Shopping Online for my Husband

Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. It's like a therapy whenever I feel depressed. But with the current economy, I have to just do my shopping online since it saves me gas, it also saves me from spending money to eat while I'm out and most of all, it saves me from seeing something I like and end up buying even if it's not part of the plan.

Recently, I shopped for my husband online and found his work pants which is the Carhartt B11. He likes it and he said he wants two more pair to have some spare pants. I also got him a new Levi's 514 Slim online and I was crossing my fingers that it would fit him perfectly. Thank goodness that when it arrived, it fit my husband like it was tailored just for him. Phew, I was relieved.

One downside about online purchases is that it don't fit sometimes, you can't try it on, and the colors in the pictures are sometimes off. But it is very convenient and the pros outweighs the cons big time. Right now as I am writing this, I am thinking of getting some Color Underwear for my dear hubby.

Playing Games Online

Bored? Then try to play online games. I used to complain about boredom, but now, whenever I feel bored, I would go online and play games. It really works in passing time and it also entertains me. Sometimes though it gets addicting that I don't want to go to sleep anymore, especially if I am doing good at it. There are plenty of sites that offers free online games. Just make sure you go to the ones that don't have major viruses that would infiltrate your computer.

My favorites are girl games. Games that has something to do with fashion, make-up, and even time management ones are addicting. My own daughter plays some of the girl games I play whenever she feels bored. Just this summer, when it's too hot outside for us to go out and do something, we would just sit in front of the computer and play games until it's cool enough for us to go out.

Vacation to the Philippines

It's been 3 years since we last went to the Philippines. I can't wait to go there again and eat the delicious Filipino foods that I have missed so much. Although I have been living here in the US for a while now, I still feel like a stranger here, indeed it's true that there's no place like home. This is where I live and I love the lifestyle I am living here, but my home will still and always be the Philippines.

I have been looking for cheap airline tickets online to see how much it would cost for the four of us to go there for a vacation. Vacations require a lot of money especially if you are going someplace that's thousands of miles away. Another thing I was looking into are the cheap hotels. The more I save in hotels and airline tickets, the more fun we would have while we're on vacation.

I can't wait to spend time with my family in the Philippines again. It's been a long wait and it's true that distance makes the heart grow fonder because I am closer to my family now than back then when I was living in the Philippines.

Keep on Dreaming

We all have dreams that we want to achieve. I used to dream of becoming a lawyer when I grow up but too late now, I am too lazy and too broke to get into law school. I also dreamed of owning a bmw 5 series someday, and until now, I am still working on it. Maybe I would own one someday, we never know. For now, our old chevy is enough to do the job of bringing us places and it is doing a great job.

My husband also dreamed of becoming an engineer back then when he was younger. He even went to college taking up engineering but he got sidetracked by of course, a woman. LOL... He said that back then, during his college years, he was driving an old jeep wrangler, and according to him, it is one major factor that he got girls. Of course now, the jeep is gone, the women gone and the dream of becoming an engineer is still there...

But all happens for a reason, and we thought that if not because of what happened to our lives, we would never meet each other. So even if he can't afford to buy a new jeep patriot, he is still happy to drive our family car, because it's not the ride that matters, it's the person you're riding with.

Looking for a Dentist

I have been thinking about getting some dental work done for me and my daughter. I am not sure how much it would cost me or which dentist I should go see. I am very particular in choosing the right person to do my teeth cleaning, so I will do my research online first before I make a decision. I also want to make sure that the dentist's credentials are in the site that way I know what I am getting into. I'm sure a lot of patients are like me, and I don't blame them one bit.

Decorating the house is one of my favorite things to do. I got it from my mom, who redecorates our house every season back then when I was growing up. One thing I learned from her was that live plants always adds beauty to the outside appearance of one's house, just make sure you take care of them. Another thing that I learned from her was less is always more. Meaning, you don't need to fill up your house with tons of stuff to make it pretty. A few items is enough to do the trick. Having beautiful persian rugs in certain areas of the house, like the living room and the office is also a must. It could serve as the center piece of the design and it also helps make the room unique.

I am so glad I get to grow up in a house with a sense of style because it inspired me to do the same with my own house now. My husband loves it when I redecorate our simple abode my older daughter would always be delighted when she comes home from school and find that we have a new curtain or just a re-arranged furniture. I hope someday she will be able to decorate her own house and say that she got her inspiration from her mom.

Going on a Vacation before Summer Ends

Yay! It's so hot! Summer is fun but it could burn you, literally. That said I would not trade it for any other season in the calendar. I so love summer, even the tan lines that comes with it. So before summer bids goodbye, we would like to go someplace fun and burn our skin some more.

With the oil spill in the gulf coast, going to our favorite Destin, Florida is not a good choice, so we are contemplating on going somewhere in the east coast. My Daughter Going to College

My husband and I have been contemplating on sending our kids to college someday. It would be a while but we have to get ready as early as now, or else, we won't be able to afford the tuition and the fees it takes to send them to college. Education is important and it is so sad to know that it comes with a price. A lot of kids here are choosing to stay out of college due to one factor - it is expensive.

That means that the gambling tax the US government took from your winnings would be given back to you.

That is a pretty good deal then. We all know that casino winnings taxes being charged goes bigger as the prize you win gets bigger. So getting it back means you're getting back a lot of money. Boy, one of these days, I hope I would win a big jackpot, and with tax rebates or not, it's going to make my life easier.

What is so "Hot In Cleaveland"

One of the best comedic shows that I have seen in a long time is the TV Land production of Hot In Cleaveland. Although the concept of a buddy show with roommates isn't a new one, this is reminiscent of The Golden Girls, the demographics used are something innovative. Choosing for the four lead characters Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leaves, Wendy Mallick and Betty White was a genius move from the producers.

Why do I find this such a refreshing change? Because although these characters are from Los Angeles and the land of glamour, they are also, with the exception of White, middle aged women facing various crisis in their lives. Before now most of the shows dealing with this issue fell back on the ideas of new babies or careers to deal with this, if middle aged crisis in women was dealt with at all. The fact that the issues these women deal with can be very real for women is an appealing aspect.

What makes this so charming is the fact that even though the issues are real, they are dealt with in a humorous and entertaining manner, giving the viewer a sense of the importance of keeping your sense of humor despite the situations you're facing, add to that we women of this age demographic now feel we have a voice on cable tv programming in DC.

An Epic Tale Well Told By Spartacus Blood and Sand

A bunch of built men dressed in nothing but loin cloth fighting for honor, freedom and fame is the main theme of Starz's Spartacus: Sand and Blood, which I never get enough of my premium movie channels. Complete with the English spoken in the days of old, this is a great epic drama.

The story follows a warrior named Spartacus who is captured during a fight and so is his wife. His wife is unfortunately killed and he joins the ranks of gladiators that fight under Batiatis, the owner of a ludus in the city of Capua. Batiatis is dead set on gaining a prominent seat in government and in the process gets into some underhanded deals. Spartacus fights believing that he is securing his wife's freedom only to find out that Batiatis had her killed so he can stay as the gladiator champion of Capua. Spartacus has to endure harassment from the former champion Crixus and his only friend is Virra who is unfortunately a victim of the rich playing pointless mind games. This leads to Spartacus vowing to take care of his family and revenge by 'killing them all', in reference to those responsible.

This series is a blend of blood, sexuality and coarse language, just like it was in the Roman Empire era. This story is addictive because it stays within the theme of the time it is set in.

In my own personal account, there are times when we were almost burglarized while we're sleeping. I was born, not raised in North Carolina. I have lived in New York since the age of one. Its very rare that I tell people this tidbit unprovoked. I am not ashamed of where I come from in the slightest. I just don't relate to the south very well. Its a little too sleepy, laid back, and quiet for me, but every year we make the trip since that's still where most of our Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins reside. However, there are a lot of little precautions that we take in terms of security before leaving our home for two weeks. First we discuss when our neighbors are going on vacation. It may sound odd, but having someone keep an on your home is very reassuring. Plus, we have been doing it for years so why change it up now. Secondly we make sure all the blinds are draw. Typically, a house you can not see into isn't a prime target for burglary. And lastly we set our adt security cameras before exiting our home because if my neighbors have their own emergency and have to leave unexpectedly and the closed blinds idea is not as good a deterrent as I think they are I know that my home is completely safe regardless because I pressed one button while heading out of the door.

Starting a New Site

I am thinking of making a new site for my sister. She loves to paint, so I thought it would be nice to post her paintings online through her own web page. You never know, maybe someday, somebody would buy her work and would open doors of opportunities for her. I am still thinking of a good domain name for her art site, I didn't ask her yet because I want it to be a surprise. She is still young, so something that sounds hip would probably be more appropriate to use.

I am also thinking of what web hosting I would use to start her new site. I am still doing my research, but I have a lot of website hosting companies that I am taking into consideration. Since I am making the site for her, I want to make sure that she gets a lot of unlimited traffic at a cheap price.

I hope I would complete this project before her 16th birthday next month. It would be a perfect gift to my dear little sister.

Manicured Homes

Nothing looks better than a neighborhood with manicured lawns. Me and my husband has been invited to a party at a neighborhood that has beautiful homes and well-maintained lawns. All the houses has blooming flowers, perfectly-cut grass and nice personalized address plaques. It's like being in a hollywood movie, with everything in perfect place.

Ofcourse we were there for only a couple of hours but every time I clean our lawn, I always think and hope that my lawn would look half as good as that neighborhood's lawns. One thing I copied from them though is by getting my own personalized address plaque that I proudly placed in the front porch.

Maybe someday, my lawn would look as good as the lawn that I saw. It would take time but someday,my house would also be the envy of other people passing by.

Buying New Modern Furniture

Our livingroom is in desperate need of new furniture. Our old sectional and sofa has served its time. The MODERN furniture pictured above is my favorite set. I like it because it converts into a bed for the kids when their cousins come over for sleep-overs. I also love the color of it. The material is easy to clean and it is big enough to seat my entire family for family movie nights. I already knew what I would buy to replace our old tattered livingroom furniture, all I need to do now is save  for it.

Do you have a dream house? I do, and I hope someday I would get the chance to build it. I browsed through different sites online to see new homes in howard county built specifically to meet the owner's specifications. I so loved the model house above. It is looks nice outside and the inside is immaculate.

There are also beutiful built homes near ft. meade that are very spacious and nice. Looking through how the builder makes sure that every little detail is put into consideration, makes me really long to have my dream home built. It would be a dream come true, not just for me but for my husband as well.

One thing I love so much about spring and summer are the different flowers that bloom. They give so much life and beauty to everything. I am one of the lucky women out there who is blessed to have a very nice mother-in-law. Redoing our Bathroom

There is a never-ending renovation going on in our house right now. After redoing the entire bedroom, my husband is about to redo our family bathroom.
