My husband works at the Air Force Base and he has been travelling back and forth from our house to the base for years now. He got a gas-saving car that way he would not spend too much money for gas, but recently, gas prices soared really high that we are thinking of just moving near the base to save money. We could also ask for him to be transferred to another base, if we want.
I have been contemplating about that plan and I have looked at homes near dover air force base to see what we would be expected. I am surprised that their are a lot of nice and cheap homes that are just a couple of miles aways from the base gate. In my calculations, we would save a good sum of money if we just pursue in our plan of moving near where my husband works.
Perhaps in due time, we would be able to make up our minds. For right now, we are glad that even if the gas prices are high and the rest of the commodities are high, my husband still has a job.
