With this economy, we need to make sure that we are saving money in every way possible. Whether it be by cutting on some guilty pleasures or by trying to buy discounted items. When the economy started to plummet, our family started to cut back on a lot of stuff. We used to go to the theaters and watch a movie every weekend but now, we just wait for it to come on DVD and rent it. We save a lot of money and we still get to watch the movie. We also cut back on eating out. We used to eat out a lot, but now, we only do that if we're on the road and we really need a bite and ofcourse on special occasions.
We also save money on groceries by using discount coupons for particular items we need. It might have been annoying for the cashier to scan all the couplons we have but it saved us money. There are online coupons available for specific department stores as well. I am an avid Macy's shopper and it helps to me save when I have Macy's coupon with me.
I used to not do all of these but we have to adapt to change and we have to be able to survive in this tough economy. I would do anything to help out with my family's finances.
