It is very important to be prepared for the future. Hubby and I always talk about retiring in the Philippines someday and moving there for good. But we have to make sure that we would have enough funds to support us as well as pay for our kids' college education when that time comes. That's why we made sure that we constantly add funds to his IRA accounts. We have it set-up to where before we get a hold of his pay-check, the bank would already take away a certain percentage and put it in the savings account.
We started with only a couple of thousands and now we doubled the amount already. Constant checking and ofcourse smart online trading and stock trading helps us earn more than just letting it sit there. We just hope that the economy will not drop all the way to the bottom or else our retirement funds would be in jeopardy. If you haven't started to invest money for retirement, start it now. It is very important to think about the future and just the present.

i agree with you. retirement and/or retirement fund is one reality in life that me and my husband also discusses (and finds ways to prepare) a lot. we've seen a lot of oldies suffer from being not very prepared.
i hope we'll be able to build up one that will support us in the future.
