My husband is part french and so he speaks a little bit of french. My in-laws speaks a lot more french especially my father in law who has a french dad. He would say words that I have never heard before and I would wonder what it means. He would tell me what it means sometimes but most of the time, he assumes that I understand it, which I don't. LOL..
He would say words such as banque ligne, all I know is that banque means bank and ligne means line but I don't understand what it means when they are combined. He said the french for shoes is chaussure and beautiful is belle. It is so nice to hear him say french words and I hope that I would learn more someday. It's just that the batteries in my brain is not as charged up now that I am no longer in school.. LOL... In truth, Andrea knows more french words than I do. Well atleast somebody is learning french in the family...
